Thanks to an alert reader, we now know that there are not one, not two, but three free Stanford computer science classes on offer this fall. If you’re ready to work hard, do homework and take exams, you can get a letter from the course instructor attesting that you finished the course, and saying how you ranked on the course grading curve. For details, check out the database class website, the machine learning class website and the artificial intelligence class website. According to the AI website, 74,069 have already signed up.

Of interest are lecture series about Unix, Human Computer Interaction, Web Applications and Algorithms. There is also a very short discrete probability sequence.
